One evening, I came to easel not happy with this painting.
I had felt frustrated, sad and when I looked at the canvas, what was there wasn't anything to feel proud of or connected to.
It didn't convey the emotion I was feeling. A masquerade of sorts, one I'm actively trying to shed. A mixture of weight, of longing, of pressure, of attraction, of the space in between.
So I dipped into the belly. Deep in there.
And...just when I thought there was nothing...I found this.
It reminded me that there is always a light there ready to excavate.
A quiet persistence of light that can spark anytime.
