Based on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, Janette Eley has been handcrafting candles for over ten years.
Working from her home studio and creative workspace, Janette's work is inspired by her love of travel and the special places she has discovered on holidays.
Janette draws upon the scents, memories, landscapes and experiences from her journeys to create each Lux.400 collection.
Every candle is lovingly handmade in small batches using plant-based soy wax which is professionally developed in Melbourne using the highest quality, sustainably sourced raw materials.
Cotton wicks, premium quality fragrance oils and carefully selected essential oils are used to complete a quality product. From the first pour to the final finish, each candle is thoughtfully crafted by hand with care and attention to detail.
For Janette, candle making is a way of capturing the feeling of a beautiful place or treasured moment and bringing those memories home through scent.
Collaborating with local artists and makers is very special to Janette. Her collaborations include well known local artist Billy Nye, photographer Caitlin Archibald of Delight Studio and the Men’s Shed.
