Medium: Graphite on Fabriano Sketching paper
Size: 100 cms X 70 cms
A Brumby, its flowing mane caught in the wild wind of the high country. This sketch captures the raw beauty and strength of Australia’s untamed heritage horse. With grace and defiance in its eyes, it symbolises freedom and resilience. The brumby’s mane carries the silent voices of the wild — stories of freedom, wind, and untamed lands. Each strand seems to whisper tales of the outback, of gallops through eucalyptus-scented air, of storms weathered and sunrises seen. It’s an intimate, almost mystical moment, where movement becomes a symbol of memory, spirit, and resilience. Brumbies like these still roam free — and some can even be adopted into loving care. Sketched in graphite on Fabriano Paper, with a fixative gloss spray finish to protect and seal the artwork forever.
