100x120
Created with acrylic paint on canvas, oil sticks, using layers of colour, playful marks and hand-painted details throughout.
Blooming was the first piece I created after moving to Mornington, so it feels like the beginning of a whole new chapter, the start of my creative life here.
There is so much love in this painting. The colours, flowers, little shapes and unexpected combinations all came together very intuitively, and creating it made me feel so much joy.
For me, Blooming is about growing into a new version of yourself, finding inspiration in a new place and allowing creativity to take up more space in your life.
I hope when you look at it, you feel some of the happiness I felt while making it.
