Collection: Feature Artist - Rebecca Abbey

Frankston-based artist Rebecca Abbey’s creative journey began as personal catharsis, however what unfolded was a radiant inward spiritual exploration. This process evolved into creative healing exchange, deeply rooted in her passion for colour and enriched by multidisciplinary studies.

Rebecca’s vibrant, engaging artworks — expressions of renewal, expansion, and transformation — are shared through her business Colour and Flow, alongside Colour Therapy, Energy Healing, and Crystal Sound Therapy. With a background in both Healthcare and Colour Design, Rebecca has woven together diverse life chapters into a cohesive and expanding art practice.

Her largely instinctual, abstract technique is fluid, layered and expressive, often incorporating mixed media and paint remnants from her family’s Painting and Decorating business.

Motifs and symbolism, sometimes consciously chosen and other times emerging as light language, appear frequently in Rebecca’s work — a connection enriched by her Māori heritage.

Rebecca’s creative process is both contemplative and interactive, blending meditation, energy healing, and crystal bowl sounds. Each piece draws inspiration from these practices, supported by sanative, dynamic colour palettes.

Rebecca’s intention is for her work to evoke not only aesthetic joy but carry healing energy — energy that finds its intended recipient in often meaningful ways.
