All about the Silent Auction

When is the Silent Auction start and finish?

The Silent Auction will commence at 9am on Monday 6th October and end at 10pm Sunday 26th October.

You can bid anytime during this period - at the Art Show, at home, during the day, or late at night!

Who can bid on the Silent Auction?

The Silent Auction is open to anyone within Australia, however the majority of the items must be collected from the school, with postage only available on a select few items.

How do I bid on the Silent Auction?

You must log into your account, or create an account, on the website BEFORE you place a bid.

Once you are logged in, simply place a bid on your favorite item next to the "Place My Bid" button (the minimum bid amount is $5). We will send you email notifications if you get out bid.

Can the system bid on my behalf so I don't need to watch it all the time?

Yes, you can choose to set automatic bidding.

Make sure you click on "Place Automatic Bid" at the bottom of the bidding box and enter your HIGHEST bid.

When someone else bids on the item, the system will automatically bid an extra $5 on your behalf until you reach your highest bid.

Is there a reserve and what is the minimum bid?

Yes, there is a reserve on each item, however this reserve has been set as the starting bid, so your first bid could win the auction if no one else bids!

For most items, the reserve/starting bid is $20. For a few special items, the reserve/starting bid is higher.

Minimum bid increments on all items is $5.

How do I keep track of what I've bid on?

Click on your account icon/initials (top right corner of the webpage) and you will either be taken to your dashboard or asked to sign-in.

Once in your dashboard, in the top menu, click on "Bids", and you will be taken to your Auctions Dashboard. View all the auctions your bidding on and click on an auction to increase your bids.

What do I do if I win an item?

Congratulations on being the winning bidder!

We will let you know if you are the winning bidder. You have 3 days to pay for your item via the website. Failure to pay for the item, will automatically see the next highest bidder offered the item.

Once you have paid for your item, please collect it from the school within 48 hours.

How do I collect my winning items? Is postage available?

The majority of the items DO NOT include/offer postage. Instead, they must be collected from:

  • The Mount Eliza North Primary School - front office
  • 6 Moseley Dr, Mount Eliza VIC 3930
  • Between Monday 27th and Friday 31st October during school hours.
  • If the items are not collected during this time, the Art Show Committee will endevour to contact the winning bidder. If still not collected, the winning item will be forfeited and sold to the next highest bidder.

There are a handful of Silent Auction items that include postage or can be quoted and invoiced to the winning bidder.
