Australian Frontyard is a hand-painted linocut that reflects everything I associate with the Australian suburban landscape. It’s a snapshot of life, capturing the everyday and unexpected charm.
And yes, a kangaroo was hopping through a garden on the Mornington Peninsula! That’s the beauty of where I live—wildlife casually mingles with suburbia. In this print, I’ve included the iconic three-bedroom brick veneer house, with a caravan parked out front, wattle trees framing the scene, and Skippy just passing by. It’s a blend of the ordinary and the wild, wrapped up in a typical Aussie front yard.
