My style is impressionist at first glance but as you look deep through the rich textures you see hidden subjects emerge. This is a painting of my local pier during one of its glorious summer sunset.

When I look at something that inspires me to paint it, I want to represent it in all its rich, tactile form. The use of multi layers helps to create luscious thick shapes and forms with subtle toning areas of transparency that let the soft inks and pigments underneath come through like stained glass.
