Oil on canvas, framed, 76cm x61 cm.

"Whispers of Wonder" blends elements of whimsy and surrealism. Butterflies, both monarch and other varieties, flutter her and are not only a nod to transformation and freedom, but also enhance the painting's ethereal quality. The inclusion of abstract lines and tiny red hearts on her face adds a layer of intrigue, suggesting a deeper, hidden, narrative.

Greek text at the top of the painting, "Φαντασία Φαντάς," translates to "Fantasy" in English, perfectly encapsulating the otherworldly feel. This painting is a celebration of beauty, imagination, and the seamless blend of the natural and fantastical realms.

About the author: I am an ex nutrition scientist/researcher/author now living my dream; creating beautiful oil paintings.

After studying at the Milan Art Institute, I found myself irresistibly drawn to painting faces, and realised that my true passion lay in capturing the essence of human expression, starting always with the eyes because the eyes are indeed the 'window to the soul.'

My artistic style is a blend of whimsical and surreal elements, seamlessly intertwined with touches of realism.

My fascination with whimsical and surreal themes stems from my desire to explore the boundaries of imagination and reality. I aim to create visual representations imbued with stories and emotions that invite viewers to embark on a journey of discovery.
