Using a combination of wheel and handbuilding techniques, this form has been altered and sculptured, then painted with a white porcelain slip wash. Portions of this beautiful dark clay body have been stretched outwards to crack the white surface and create a contrast in color. Some stretches have punctured and burst all the way through the walls of the piece in interesting ways. It has been glazed very minimally with white gloss beading and small dots of subtle luster.
