My name is Jennie Alderton. I am a Melbourne born artist living and creating on the Mornington Peninsular. I studied my craft in London, and have been jeweller now for 20 years.
I love to work with combinations of metals, mainly rose and yellow gold in conjunction with sterling silver. I specialize in cultured freshwater and South sea pearls, precious and semi-precious stones.
The shape of the stone or pearl that I use is what depicts the type of setting and thus the jewellery piece that I make.
I design my ranges to be multifunctional, so they can be worn in different ways, so the wearer gets the most out of the pieces they choose.
My first ring made in college was a sterling silver and rose gold three ring set with a garnet. The combination worked so beautifully, that it set the benchmark for the work I do today.
Most of my ring collection can be worn as a set or singly, allowing the wearer the flexibility of how they wear their jewellery, as well as being able to add to their collection easily and cost effectively.
Utmost care is put into the designs, quality and production of each piece, to ensure the wearer has many years of enjoyment.
