2014 Feature Jeweller – Jennie Alderton
Jennie Alderton is a Melbourne born artist who studied her craft in London and is currently living and creating on the Mornington Peninsula. Over the past 20 years, she has developed a unique style working with combinations of metals, mainly rose and yellow gold and sterling silver, and setting cultured freshwater and South Sea pearls, precious and semi-precious stones. “My passion is to create original one off pieces, so that each item has a certain unique feeling to it,” she explains. “I am inspired by abstract forms, nature, colour and versatility”. Jennie’s ring collection can be worn as a set or singly, or in a variety of combinations, which allows flexibility, choice and the ability to add to the collection easily and cost effectively. Utmost care is put into the designs, quality and production of each piece, to ensure the wearer has many years of enjoyment.
